We will be having our poetry breakfast on Friday, May 10th from 7:40-8:20. The breakfast will be in our classroom, room 215. Please use the link below to sign up for food/drink. This is just to ensure we get a variety of food.

CHANGE TO OUR MAP SCHEDULE- Third grade will be testing 4/30, 5/1, 5/2, and 5/3. This means we will not be testing Monday, April 29. Please refrain from scheduling appointments or vacations on these days. We will mainly test in the morning period beginning at 9:30. It is important your third grader is here to avoid having to do make-up testing.
In the Classroom
In math this week, we completed Unit 8. We assessed over this unit on Wednesday. Next week, we will spend some time reviewing for the MAP test beginning the following week.
This week in Poetry, we learned about alliteration and studied concrete and inference poetry. We also analyzed song lyrics to look for poetic themes. We took advantage of the nice weather this week and did some writing outside!
We continued learning about ecosystems in Science. The highlight was on Tuesday when we created an ecosystem that contained all 4 parts; plants, animals, decomposers, and non-living.
