Grocery Store Counting-By Lily

In math, we got a piece of paper with a picture of a grocery store on it. Mrs. Fox gave us partners and a big piece of construction paper.

We counted all of the fruit and other products. We were supposed to count it by any way we could think of. We tried not to count by ones. If there was a price on the product, you had to figure out how much it would cost. For example, a box of blueberries cost $4. There were three boxes, so it would cost $12 in all. On the big piece of paper, you had to put how many of each item there were and how much it cost. You also had to show your work so you could explain it to other people.

Tomorrow we are going to look at the posters and share our strategies.
