- If students are bringing Valentines to share with the class, they should be brought Thursday, February 12th. They can also bring a box or container to collect their Valentines. We have 24 students in our room. A list of names was sent home a few weeks ago. If you would like another copy, please let me know.
In the Classroom
In math, students have been learning about division. We have studied how division and multiplication are related, as well as how to solve division word problems. We will continue to work on division next week and then begin our geometry unit. In writing, students are entering the final stages of their non-fiction pieces. We will be publishing next week. Students are allowed to print off pictures from home for their piece, but it is not required. Weekly Journals were not completed this week. In reading, students are leading their own book clubs.
Students may have talked to you about our Mystery Skype in geography. We did a practice skype with Mrs. Rogers' class where we each chose a country and the other class had to guess which one by asking yes or no geography questions. The real skype will be done with a 3rd grade class in another state. We were supposed to do this Thursday, but it was cancelled because of the late start. We will reschedule soon!
