Class Flag
We have been discussing communities in Social Studies this week. For one of our activities, each student was asked to design a flag that represented our class in some way. Class Interviews
We started our first writing project today! Students were paired up and given the task of interviewing each other. I had guiding questions, but they were also able to add their own. We will take these interviews through the stages of writing (drafting, editing, revising, and publishing). Completed interviews will be compiled into a class book. Make sure to check it out at Get the Scoop Night!

Me Museum

Comet Commitment
If you are a former Paxton family, you have probably heard of the Paxton Keeley High Five. This year, we are calling those five important character traits the Comet Commitment. Today, each group was in charge of one of the words; kind, safe, cooperative, respectful, and responsible. The group was tasked with describing how that word looks in Paxton by drawings pictures. They were also asked to record what that word sounds like at Paxton Keeley. Here are our posters.
We also read one of my favorite books, Do Unto Otters. This book goes right along with our Comet Commitment, as we learned to treat "otters" the way we would want "otters" to treat us!
